While COVID-19 deaths and new cases thankfully continue to decrease and the state begins to reopen, many unknowns still exist. As such, the Michigan Municipal Electric Association Board of Directors felt it was in everyone’s best interests to turn MMEA’s 2020 Fall Conference into a Virtual Conference. The hope is that this decision will accommodate travel restrictions put in place for the rest of the year by many of the state’s utilities, ease financial strains, and encourage participation from staff who normally cannot attend.
Over the last few months, MMEA has been rolling out a remote meeting platform which will make our virtual conference interactive, accessible, and valuable for all our utility member attendees! While the conference agenda is still in development, we will have live educational breakouts delivered by our Associate members and engaging plenary sessions, with speakers covering a variety of emerging industry topics.
